nautical decor and fashion has become increasingly popular over the last few years. but i wondered, what made navy and white nautical in the first place? i did a little digging and found that back in 1745, King George selected a dark blue and white for the Brittish officers because the colors his wive's favorite. the shade of blue became known as navy.
