Wallcovering Words

Typography & paper is my Achilles heel. I could download fonts all day. So naturally I never have time to dwell into this pleasure. I digress; this little post is for those who love letters. Knoll just released a second pattern designed by Abbott Miller and is all about ink movement. There are three patterns to the collection and this is my favorite. Imagine this as an accent wall in a school classroom or a child's play room. I love the idea of it above a chair rail at a funky coffee shop/poetry lounge - especially the darkest one with white letters.

MGMart items!

A couple of weeks ago I shared images of some of my favorite things on MGMart. Yesterday I received my order and lemme just say... I'm loving everything I got!

I'm now thinking about that gorgeous headband up at the top and this little treasure.

And someone needs to snag this amazing fascinator! It's only $36 with the store coupon code!

Deathly Hallows part 2

Just for fun I thought I'd share what I'll be wearing to the opening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 tonight.
I picked up a time turner key chain at Universal this past Spring and cut off the key chain ring and added a gold chain long enough for two people just like Hermione's. My Ravenclaw scarf will be perfect to cover up my eyes when people start to die that I don't want to die. And of course I'll have my wand in my boot, also just like Hermione, just in case. You never know, people.

Now my only question is which eye shadow look I should do. These are both from my go-to-get-crazy-with-color-and-make-it-gorgeous beauty guru, xsparkage. Which look do you prefer? The Ravenclaw or the Gryffindor? Tell me in the comments below!

WANT

need this in my life... or maybe i could make them. perfect for an entry way with a vase of flowers, a key bowl, and a nice piece of art leaning on the wall.

Project progress - Issue 4

I don't know why but I love this photo of the tire tracks. This is a photo of success. The geothermal wells are drilled and horizontal trenches completed and into the building. The gravel and dirt is smoothed back out and soon we will have light bases and concrete curbs down. Then it will start looking like a parking lot.

There is a great addition to the building since the last update. Check out this little beauty below. Meet our entrance canopy.

Well, the start of an entrance canopy anyway. Looks pretty awesome, huh? Wait until it's finished.

The interior is coming along, too. Below are two before and after images. With out dry wall & with drywall. Without paint & with paint. Tell me that wall color isn't stunning.

And lastly for this time around: the board room. I can't wait to share a photo of the final room. It's going to look great!

July 4th crafts - TAKE TWO!

The inspiration photo:

The skinny popsicle sticks with flags can also be used as drink stirrers. I had some left over strips from this post that I cut and added to sticks as well for variety.

July 4th crafts

A fun, quick DIY for your Independence Day cookouts or picnics.

I think these are so cute, and not to mention convenient! Ever tried to hold a plate and drink and napkin and utensils? Not so easy. This little baby can go right in your pocket while you fill your plate. I like them in this basket but I love the idea of placing a few in a mason jar in the center of each table. Especially if it were tied off with some twine at the top. Hmm... I may need to do that. ;)
