everybody loves red velvet cake. really, do you know anyone that doesn't like it? exactly.
red velvet cake is dated back to 1873, when a velvet cake was deemed to have an extra fine crumb and the red referred to brown sugar. it was actually a differnet batter than chocolate cake. now, this cake has been dumbed down to a typical chocolate cake batter with red food coloring added. poor little cake.
but oh is it so stylish? a cake just looks yummier when it's a pretty shade of red.
