a Honeysuckle wedding

Since the Pantone Color of the Year for 2011 was announced last week, I have become infinitely jealous of those 2011 brides. The girl in me wants to up my wedding so that I can have a pink wedding AND it be trendy. The realist in me knows that is not going to happen. So what's a girl to do?

Blog about it; so those lucky 2011 brides can become inspired to use Honeysuckle as a main color of their wedding.

Some things I'm loving about this shade of pink?

1. It looks super trendy and fun with a nice shade of pear and charcoal OR
2. navy and white OR
3. lemon and mandarin.
4. It's girly but in an intense grown up kind of way (no baby pink or neon for this girl).
5. It will look lovely at a garden reception. Imagine it sprinkled in here with the image below.

A nice amount of pink can work anywhere. I'm not saying I'm going to completely shy away from pink (although it will unfortunately be a "last season" color by my wedding in 2012). But a few drops here and there will make me happy without my hubby-to-be groaning at the wedding decor.
